Women’s book celebrates institution of same-sex marriage

Karen Kahn and Pat Gozemba have only been married since last September, but they know the history of same-sex marriage in Massachusetts backwards and forwards. That’s why they are writing a book on the subject.
Scheduled for release in May of 2007, "Courting Equality: Photographs from the Gay Marriage Frontlines" (Beacon Press) chronicles the struggle that began in November of 2003 with the state Supreme Court’s decision to allow same-sex marriage.
