(Boston, Massachusetts) Gay and lesbian couples from outside Massachusetts were dealt a blow Thursday when the state's highest court - the Supreme Judicial Court - let stand, at least for now, a 1913 law that prevents clerks from issuing marriage licenses to people from states where that marriage would be illegal.

There're a lot of details to this story. Invoked by Gov. Romney when MA legalized gay marriage, this antiquated law limits people from states where gay marriage is already barred from coming into Massachussets to marry. It's a long-haul to marriage equality across the board. This too shall pass. I am proud of MASS for their leadership and courage. They'll work it out.
Good article. Informative.
